about us

Jason and Sue met at a Bible School in Germany in 1977 and were married in 1980. They pursued further training at Grace University in Omaha and Denver Seminary. Having gained valuable experience in the pastorate in Colorado and Indiana, they arrived in Germany in 1992. Since then they have started 3 churches in the Cologne region. In addition to working on a regional and national basis to help foster a church planting movement through training and mentoring German church planters, Jason works in his Pastorenatelier (pastor's workshop) where he talks with people on a daily basis and shares the gospel. Sue teaches Intercultural Competence at the University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration - reflecting her christian world view as she engages with her students.

    Germany is a mission field.
This surprises many people. They have never thought of Europe as a place that needs missionaries, let alone Germany, the very heart of the Reformation. Many people consider Europe a Christian continent.

    However, consider this:
    · In Germany, evangelical Christians comprise only 3 percent of the population.
    · The churches in Africa and Asia - continents traditionally associated with missionaries - are growing rapidly while Europe is the only continent where the church is declining.

In spite of this, God is at work in Germany. Most Germans have given up on the traditional church, but are still open to God. Young people are looking for answers to their questions about the meaning of life. They are concerned about terrorism, globalisation and injustice in the world. It is an exciting time to be engaging modern Germans with the Gospel.

We believe that one of the most effective ways to reach people is through the starting of dynamic, modern and reproducing churches. The goal of the new churches that we are starting is to contextualize the Gospel in a way that draws people who don‘t regularly attend church. Our desire is to help these people find the forgiveness, hope, and new life we have found in Jesus Christ.
